MONTEREY CAR WEEK

AUGUST 22-26, 2018

A PRESTIGIOUS EVENT.
AN EXTRAORDINARY WEEK.

The premier automotive event of the year, Monterey Car Week offered a great opportunity to get to know collectors, enthusiasts, media and guests from around the world, and showcase two of our most innovative vehicles – the electric Essentia Concept and the Genesis G70. It’s an exciting time for us, and we’re thrilled to share the highlights of this memorable week with you.

Moments in Design

The Genesis Home provided the venue to welcome guests for an opportunity to talk personally with the Essentia design team. Led by Chief Designers Luc Donckerwolke and Sasha Selipanov, attendees joined our team for an exclusive presentation on vehicle sketching before being invited to try their hand at drawing their own. With guidance and encouragement from the Essentia team, they got to experience the rush of excitement when a designer first puts pen to paper bringing a new idea to life. For many, a memorable experience and a fitting keepsake of the event.

THE GENESIS G70 SHINES DURING MONTEREY CAR WEEK

Monterey Car Week presented a special opportunity for guests to get an early look at the Genesis G70. The G70 intrigued enthusiasts throughout the week beginning with McCall’s Motorworks Revival, followed by the most exclusive event, The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. The celebration continued as we hosted a white cocktail party at the Genesis Home. In conjunction with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, we were proud to partner with two charity organizations to raffle off a G70. The Animal Friends Rescue Project and the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation were able to raise over $117,000 to benefit their worthy causes.
