Seamless Sharing
Let others use your digital key
Digital Key 2 lets you safely share your key with up to three others using the Genesis Connected Services app. It is as easy as opening your smartphone's wallet then sharing your key with your contact. Once they have accepted, they can use your GV60.

What is the difference between Digital Key 2 and Digital Key 2 Touch?
Due to different technical capabilities, Digital Key 2 enables hands-free unlocking and starting. With Digital Key 2 Touch you have to touch your smartphone to the door handle to unlock and place it on the charging pad to start.

Does Digital Key 2 work in e.g. underground car parks?
Yes it does. Once your Digital Key is registered you will enjoy a seamless experience wherever you are.
Do registered keys need network coverage to work?
No, once registered the key will work in areas with no available network coverage.
Do I need coverage to register a key?
Your Genesis does need to be in a region that is covered by Genesis Connected Services to register a digital key.
You can register the key when the vehicle is in any of these European countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
Can I share my digital key with somebody who is abroad?
Yes, so long as the vehicle itself is in a region that is covered by Genesis Connected Services. See the list of countries above.
Can I use my car if my smartphone is switched off or out of battery?
Depending on the device configuration and manufacturer, you can use a registered key even when the device is turned off or out of battery.
Which Genesis vehicles can use Digital Key 2?
Currently only the GV60 from Model Year 2023 is able to use the Digital Key 2.
