The name 'Genesis X' refers to how the concept emphatically demonstrates the hidden potential "X factor" in the all-electric Genesis range.
Introducing the Genesis X Concept
"The Genesis X Concept can be described as the ultimate vision of Athletic Elegance, the inherent design language of Genesis. The signature Two Lines theme and Enduring luxury will be blueprints for the futuristic designs and state-of-the-art technologies that Genesis seeks to adopt in its future models."
The Genesis X Concept's Lençóis Blue colour is inspired by the enduring beauty of the Lençóis Maranhenses lagoons in Brazil. These breathtaking deep-turquoise freshwater pools reappear every year when the rains come.
The front of the Genesis X features a low, yet broad silhouette. The shield-shaped Crest Grille combined with the two-line headlamps, which continue through the wheel arch, create a strong front presence.
The side follows the traditional GT model design with a long hood and a short rear. The side's two-line lamps iconically lead to the headlights and taillights. The arcing Parabolic Line that runs along the side creates a dynamic and elegant impression.
The horseshoe rear design forms a simple and sleek curve, while the contours of the body create a strong, yet sophisticated presence.
The two-lined Quad Lamps are the iconic hallmark of our light design.
To highlight the car’s futuristic electric design, the Crest Grille's intricate metal structure is a three-dimensional G-Matrix pattern. Painting the internal grille surfaces to match the exterior body colour creates a seamless, unified look.
Interior
Inspired by the "Beauty of White Space", the Genesis X Concept's interior features a driver-oriented cockpit design that perfectly balances interior space with ergonomically placed state-of-the-art technology.
There is subtle use of the two lines design on the slim indirect air vents that wrap around the cabin and the side window moulding. By applying this motif throughout the interior, the cabin has a harmonious feel that seamlessly echoes the vehicle's exterior design.
The Genesis X Concept features a dashboard that creates the sense that it is enveloping passengers and is connected to a floating centre console.
Like an intricate jewel cradled on the floating center console, the Crystal Sphere is the rotatable Shift-By-Wire controller that is exclusive to Genesis. The device visually indicates on and off status of the vehicle. When parked, it is a beautifully crafted crystal. Once on the move, it rotates into a drive selector.
Enduring luxury
The Genesis X Concept's interior materials demonstrate how Genesis brings Enduring Luxury to every aspect of the design and production process.
Upcycled materials
Woven upcycled leather
To add unique character to Genesis X's interior, woven upcycled leather has been used. This weave-patterned fabric is made from leather leftover from previous manufacturing processes. It has been used for the safety belts, parts of the steering wheel, and the airbag cover, and emphasises the Genesis X's Enduring Luxury credentials.
