WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AC AND DC CHARGING?
The abbreviation AC stands for alternating current and DC for direct current. Although only direct current can be stored in the high-voltage battery, you can use both alternating current and direct current to charge your electric car. Alternating current will simply be converted into direct current by an AC/DC converter integrated in the vehicle.
How do I find all of the charging points used by Genesis?
Thanks to our Shell Recharge partnership Genesis drivers can access over 500,000 charging points across Europe. You can locate them through your car’s infotainment system. The Shell Recharge app (Android and iOS) also has a map of charging points across Europe.
How do I get my electric vehicle serviced?
Genesis cars come with a complementary 5-year care plan which includes scheduled servicing. To book your service, please contact our Genesis Personal Assistants.
Is it more cost effective to own an electric vehicle?

How do I get a charger installed in my home?
Genesis customers can order a home charger from our service partner Shell Recharge Solutions. Once the order for your Genesis EV is confirmed you will be connected to Shell Recharge Solutions for further processing.
How does the weather affect an electric vehicle?
Whilst EVs can be driven in all typical weather conditions, the range and charging speeds of electric vehicles can be affected by temperature and conditions. All electric Genesis models have state of the art technologies to improve battery efficiency and ensure fast charging speeds in cold weather.
