While warranty coverage is included with every new Genesis, Protection Plans provide optional supplementary coverage tailored to specific ownership needs. Genesis Warranty Coverage

Genesis provides drivers with a wide range of complementary warranties through our 5-Year Care plan¹, the complete details of which can be found in your Service Passport. This includes:

• 5-year/100,000 km Comprehensive Limited Warranty: The Comprehensive Limited Warranty offers protection for nearly every vehicle component; notably, Genesis offers an extra 1-year/20,000 km of coverage compared to many of our competitors, providing drivers with added peace of mind.
• 5-year/100,000 km Powertrain Warranty: The Powertrain Warranty offers coverage for most engine and transaxle components. Covered engine components include the cylinder block/head, intake and exhaust manifold, timing gears and chains, tensioners and guides, oil pump, engine mounts, core plugs, gaskets and seals, and more; covered transaxle components include the torque converter and converter housing, oil pan, transaxle mounts, gaskets and seals, drive axels, and more.
• 5-year/100,000 km Basic Emissions Warranty: The Basic Emissions Warranty provides coverage for key components in a wide range of emissions systems, including the air induction system, evaporative control system, valve timing system, fuel metering system, ignition system, evaporative control system, catalyst and exhaust system, charging system, and positive crankcase ventilation system, as well as the onboard emissions diagnostic device.
• 8-year/130,000 km Major Emissions Warranty: The Major Emissions Warranty offers supplemental coverage for select key emissions components, including the Engine Control Module, Catalytic Converter, and Onboard Emissions Diagnostic Device (OBDII).
• 8-year/160,000 km EV System Warranty: The EV System Warranty provides specialized coverage for key electric vehicle components, including the motor, high voltage battery, DC/DC converter, onboard charger, and more.
• 8-year/160,000 km High Voltage Battery Capacity Coverage: The High Voltage Battery Capacity Coverage offers assurance that if your electric vehicle's high voltage battery capacity drops below 70% of the original capacity, it will be repaired or replaced in order to reach at least 70% capacity.
• 5-year Anti-Perforation Warranty: The Anti-Perforation Warranty provides coverage in case of perforation or corrosion on metal Genesis vehicle body components under normal use and maintenance.

Genesis Protection Plans

Genesis Protection Plans provide supplemental coverage in addition to our complimentary warranties. These plans provide targeted coverage for specific situations, like protection for your vehicle’s cosmetic appearance, coverage for certain lease-end excess wear and usage fees. These plans include:

Extended Protection

Genesis Extended Protection offers a flexible way to extend vehicle component coverage beyond your vehicle’s initial warranty period. The plan can be customized based on your preferred duration and coverage level, as described in the Extended Protection Brochure, allowing you to ensure it fully meets your needs:

• Extended Protection Premium: This tier covers a wide variety of vehicle components, including the engine, turbocharger, transmission, steering, brakes, air conditioner, front suspension, and rear suspension.
• Extended Protection Premium Plus: The Premium Plus level includes coverage for additional components, such as the daytime running lights module, the keyless entry module, heated seat elements, and the rear park distance monitoring system.

All Extended Protection plans are transferable, potentially increasing the value of your vehicle if you choose to sell it before the coverage expires.

Additionally, those who purchase Extended Protection Premium Plus get additional benefits. The Trade-In Benefit provides a prorated credit towards a new Extended Protection Plan if you choose to trade in your Genesis prior to the end of your coverage period, while the Claim-Free Reward provides you with a full credit towards a new Genesis Extended Protection Plan if you do not submit a claim through the coverage.

Appearance Protection

Genesis Appearance Protection is a transferable plan designed to keep your vehicle in pristine condition. As described in the Appearance Protection Premium brochure, it offers coverage for a wide range of cosmetic damages, including:

• Paintless Dent Protection: The paintless dent removal process (PDR) is used to repair minor dents and dings on your vehicle's exterior body panels that are up to 2 inches in diameter, minimizing the appearance of damages while helping to retain your vehicle’s original finish.
• Windshield Protection: Enjoy complimentary repairs for minor chips and cracks to the front windshield that are up to 2 inches in diameter. Alternatively, if repair is impossible, Genesis offers up to $500 towards your comprehensive vehicle insurance deductible for a replacement windshield.
• Keyless Remote Replacement: Genesis Appearance Protection provides coverage in case of keys or keyless remotes being lost or stolen (up to $900 per year).
• Rip, Tear & Burn Protection: Receive complimentary repairs for minor rips, tears, or burns in your Genesis’ upholstered seats (up to $300 per occurrence).

Drivers seeking even more protection may wish to consider Appearance Protection Premium Plus, which adds the following benefits as described in its brochure:

• Tire & Wheel Protection: Appearance Protection Premium Plus offers up to $5,000 in coverage (limit includes cosmetic repair).
• Cosmetic Alloy Repair: The Premium Plus plan offers up to $200 in coverage per occurrence if your Genesis’ alloy or machine finished rims are damaged by road hazards.

Excess Wear & Use

• Tire & Wheel Protection: Appearance Protection Premium Plus offers up to $5,000 in coverage (limit includes cosmetic repair).
• Cosmetic Alloy Repair: The Premium Plus plan offers up to $200 in coverage per occurrence if your Genesis’ alloy or machine finished rims are damaged by road hazards.

Genesis Excess Wear & Use provides up to $7,500 in protection against lease-end fees that are otherwise charged if you exceed your lease agreement’s mileage or wear and tear limits; this valuable protection ensures you can remain focused on the drive ahead when minor mishaps occur. The Excess Wear & Use plan can be combined with your monthly lease payment for added convenience. It is transferable alongside your lease, making your vehicle more appealing to a prospective lessee who may wish to take over your lease agreement.

Vehicle Care Protection

Genesis Vehicle Care Protection keeps your vehicle in pristine condition. This transferable plan offers the following options, both of which come in the Premium Care Combo:

• Exterior Paint Protection: Should Genesis paint become damaged by environmental conditions, our guarantee covers not only the repair and/or repaint of the affected area, but also a reapplication of the product, ultimately preserving your vehicle’s visual appeal. Coverage is available for Gloss Ceramic and Matte Ceramic paints.
• Interior Stain Protection: A unique, spill-resistant coating is applied to your vehicle’s seating surfaces; this process reduces the likelihood of stains penetrating the fabric or leather upholstery, making it easier to maintain your vehicle. The coat additionally helps leather upholstery to remain soft and resistant to cracking.

Tire & Rim Protection

Genesis Tire & Rim Protection allows you to drive in confidence; coverage extends to all tires purchased for your Genesis, including winter tires. Additionally, the following benefits are included, as described in the Tire & Rim Protection brochure:

• Cosmetic coverage: If alloy or machine-finished rims are damaged by road hazards, Tire & Rim Protection offers up to $200 in coverage per occurrence, as well as up to $150 in rim shipping and car rental if needed.²
• Food and lodging: If a road hazard incident results in you being stranded more than 400 km from home, receive up to $50 per day for up to 3 days.²
• Roadside Assistance: Receive coverage for up to $100 in towing costs if your vehicle must be towed to a Genesis Distributor.²

Since Tire & Rim Protection is transferable, it may enhance the resale value of your Genesis.

Theft Protection

Genesis Theft Protection is designed to help deter theft through vehicle component identification and recovery support benefits. A unique identification number is inscribed into all major parts of your vehicle, making it significantly less valuable to potential thieves. As described in the Theft Protection brochure, this marking will be reapplied at no charge if you replace any previously marked vehicle part on your registered vehicle.

For added reassurance, Theft Protection also provides the following benefits:

• Vehicle database registration: A description of the vehicle and the owner’s information is added to a digital database that law enforcement agencies can use when investigating theft.
• Trip interruption benefit: If your trip is interrupted by vehicle theft, receive up to $600 towards car rental allowance, up to $400 for meals and accommodations, and an airfare reimbursement of up to $600.²
• Protection for unrecovered or total loss vehicles: If your stolen vehicle cannot be recovered within 30 days or is deemed a total loss by your insurance, receive up to $5,000 towards a new vehicle.
• Protection for recovered vehicles: If your stolen vehicle is recovered within 30 days but not deemed a total loss, receive up to $1,000 towards your insurance provider deductible refund.
