Kirk, a GV80 Coupe driver, is a former NHL goaltender and sports advocate who has called Vancouver home since 1987. Genevieve, Kirk’s wife and proud GV70 driver, was born and raised in Vancouver and has built a career in advertising while dedicating time to philanthropy.

Beyond their professional lives, giving back has become a defining part of who they are. “In a lot of our spare time, we believe it’s really important to give back,” says Genevieve. Together, they support several cancer initiatives and local charities they hold close to their hearts.

“We travel a lot by driving, and we’ve really been able to use our cars in so many different ways. I’m an avid auntie with a car seat in the back and no children, but my nephew’s always there. Kirk and Genevieve’s journey with Genesis didn’t begin in a showroom, but on the green! Kirk first discovered the brand at the 2023 Genesis Owner’s Cup golf tournament in Whistler, held in partnership with the NHL Alumni Association. “I’d seen them on the road, but actually sitting in one was a completely different experience,” he recalls. “I was drawn to the vehicle right away.”

That first encounter soon became a lasting connection. “It’s just a fantastic experience. From the moment you walk into a Distributor, you feel at home,” Kirk says. He also appreciates the small touches that make each visit enjoyable—particularly the coffee machine in the service area—and the friendly team that’s always teaching him something new about his car.
