WHAT WARRANTIES DOES GENESIS OFFER?
No matter which Genesis you select, you can drive with confidence knowing you are covered and protected. All new vehicles purchased from Genesis come with our Comprehensive Limited Warranty, Powertrain Warranty, or EV Battery Warranty. In addition, you will enjoy coverage from our Anti-Perforation Warranty, Emissions Warranty, and Roadside Assistance.
HOW LONG IS THE GENESIS NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY?
The Genesis New Vehicle Limited Warranty offers comprehensive coverage for 5 years or 60,000 miles.
WHAT DOES THE GENESIS POWERTRAIN WARRANTY COVER?
The Genesis Powertrain Warranty offers coverage for 10 years or 100,000 miles for original owners of new Genesis vehicles.
WHAT IS THE GENESIS EV BATTERY WARRANTY?
The Genesis EV Battery Warranty offers coverage for 10 years or 100,000 miles on high-voltage batteries and EV‑specific propulsion and power control components.
WHAT DOES THE GENESIS ANTI-PERFORATION WARRANTY COVER?
The Genesis Anti-Perforation Warranty covers body sheet metal that rusts completely through due to defects in materials or workmanship for 7 years or unlimited miles.
WHAT IS THE GENESIS EMISSIONS WARRANTY?
Genesis provides federal and California Emissions Warranties to ensure vehicles meet applicable emissions regulations for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Select major components are covered for up to 8 years or 80,000 miles.
WHAT DOES GENESIS ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE COVER?
Roadside Assistance is a service benefit, not a warranty, that offers 5 years of coverage that includes towing, jump starts, flat tire and lockout assistance, and emergency fuel delivery.
WHAT IS THE COVERAGE ON A NEW GENESIS?
All Genesis warranties include specific terms, conditions, and limitations that outline what is included and what is excluded. Read on for an overview of protections and benefits that come standard with every Genesis. Your local retailer is also happy to inspect your vehicle and guide you through coverage as it applies to your specific ownership journey.
WHAT DOES A GENESIS WARRANTY INCLUDE?
If your Genesis experiences a defect in materials or workmanship, including repairs to engines, transmissions, drivetrain components, and EV batteries, it will be covered as outlined in each warranty. For peace of mind from day one, every new Genesis purchase comes with 36 months Complimentary Scheduled Maintenance.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?
With the exception of brakes and wiper blades, Genesis Warranties do not cover components that naturally wear over time like tires and fluids. They also do not cover damage from misuse or accidents, such as repairs required due to collisions, off-road misuse, or exposure to extreme conditions. Any aftermarket modifications such as non-factory parts or alterations that affect vehicle systems or performance are also not covered.
WHAT COVERAGE IS AVAILABLE ON A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED GENESIS?
When you purchase a Genesis Certified Pre-Owned gas or EV vehicle, the Comprehensive Limited Warranty provides coverage for up to 6 years or 75,000 miles, while the Powertrain Limited Warranty provides coverage for up to 10 years or 100,000 miles. Both coverage periods begin from the original owner’s purchase date.
